I do. We probably all do. What is a system abuser? Typically this is someone who works the system in their favor to get anything they can for free, with no work, no desire to work or get help for themselves and become better people.
Before anyone gets offended, I am quite aware that there are people who truly need this help, who truly deserve this help, and those that are being honest about it.
However, there are plenty that are not. I know a family that is totally system abusers, in every way they can possibly be. They recently went through a court case, instigated by them, and during the court case, the question was posed to the legal team, “How much can we get from them?”. Was it odd about it, is that the case had nothing at all to do with money. Had nothing at all to do with the parents, it was actually in place because of something that had to do with the kids. Yet, the woman wanted to know what kind of money she could milk out of the people. Unbelievable. I am happy to report that the outcome of the case was in favor of the people that deserved it, the people that do not system abuse. The people that pay their bills on time, that make sure their mortgage payment is made on time, that parent to the best of their ability and don’t rely on other children to take care of the kids, etc. You get my point. Thankfully it was a good thing, and no money was had by anyone. It wasn’t about money anyway.
System abusers make me so incredibly ill. You might be interested in reading this discussion on system abusers. I found the various opinions quite interesting, and would have loved to have taken part in it. LOL I have plenty to say, but I will end for now. Food for thought anyone?

Sorry that I haven’t been around lately. I seriously just took a huge blog break to get other things situated and under control. Thankfully all is well in my world again, I’ve been getting loads of scrapbooking and other projects completed and life is slowly resuming to whatever normal is.
What projects have you been working on? I would love to know!

Actually, while it might seem funny, it was written in total honesty. I love finding scrapbooking supplies in new places and my bathroom was by NO means off limits.
Check out these two articles I wrote for families.com this week.

They make me giggle, but I mean them seriously and I really do use these items!!

I love this darn thing. I found it at Michael’s for $19.95 and was able to use a 50% coupon to get it for half price! Yeehaw!
I am actually considering going back and getting another, because it holds so much stuff and I want to separate my CTMH supplies from my regular supplies. They come in a couple of different colors, and they are even really pretty on the inside. The ones in the picture above have stripes, but mine has a really cool paisley print. These have been out awhile, so you probably have already seen them, but i just love them so much I thought I’d share for anyone who hasn’t.
You can read more about them here.

That title makes me laugh, because I can almost here Joey from Friends saying it when he dressed up like Chandler, and said “Can I be wearing any more clothes?”.
I think we over did it with the horses, but she loved it. This was my daughter’s 10th birthday cake. Can you tell what she loves?
Her birthday was actually the 13th, but we made cupcakes for a very small get together with my neighbor that day. Instead we waited until today to get the cake so everybody could enjoy it with her and not be away or at work.

Finally tonight we were all able to get together and celebrate Brie’s birthday. My parents came and so did my brother. It was only meant to be a family celelbration, but EVERYONE was busy yesterday, so we just did our own thing (Brie and I and my friends family).
Tonight we went to Red Robin, because it is Brielle’s favorite place to eat for b-days. Not really sure why, but she loves when they sing to her (though when she was little she would crawl under the table and not come out until she was sure they were gone). I stopped having them sing to her for a few years, but the past couple she has wanted it.
I snapped this less than perfect shot of my sweethearts tonight, and even thought it’s not a great shot, it’s a rare moment when they look this happy to be around each other.

I love you guys!

Brielle I can hardly believe that ten years have passed since they placed you in my arms. I cried, and cried. You were a gift, the answer to my prayers. I had my precious little boy and then, at that moment – I was complete. I had my beautiful baby girl. God has blessed me with you.
You were the first person I ever met that looked like me. That means more than you could ever understand in your ten little years. But you have become one of my very favorite people in the world.
I have watched you grow and change over the years, and I think you are amazing. I think you have gifts that you yourself are still unaware of. I think you march to the beat of your very own drum, and I admire that. I also think that your dreams are slowly coming true each day that passes as you become more in tuned with the horses and your riding capabilities. You are amazing to watch. I hope that every dream you have will come true.
I love you today and always. You are my angel, my baby, my little girl. But most of all, you’ll always be my twinkie.
Happy 10th Birthday Sweetheart!
My bf and neighbor invited Brielle and I over tonight to celebrate her birthday there instead because everyone else was busy with something else tonight. These are the cupcakes Brielle made to share with their family.

I was staring at the photos and Silhouette kept popping into my head. So I gave it a try and am pretty pleased with the results.
My son is 13 now, so you can imagine how long ago this was.

I have recently been reading and even chatting with some gals who are having trouble figuring out the settings on their crop a diles for the different types of material you can use with them. Ya see I use mine almost every single day and love it. Well I love them both. I actually use the Big bite much more frequently because of the fact it goes in 6″ right into the center of my page! Sooooo helpful! But even as I type this, my little hot pink baby is sitting here from its earlier use.
So – what about those settings?
Most people throw out the packaging without thinking twice about it, yet on the packaging for both sizes of the WE R Memory Keepers crop a diles (I and II) the information was printed there.
SO, guess what? There is still hope. You can download this PDF or click on it and open it and you can find the exact information you are seeking about the different combinations for the sizes of eyelets, conchos and other stuff.
