Close to My Heart Stamps are Cleary the Best (Videos)
So CTMH is hosting a video contest, and so far the consultant’s have been working so hard on them. I love them, most of them make me giggle, just because of the parody aspect and they really are hilarious. All joking aside, Close to My Heart clear acrylix stamps really are top notch, and these consultants put together a video to share why they are special and what makes them so amazing and awesome – so here are the video entries for the contest so far:

What Are You Thankful For this year? Close to My Heart Scrapbooking, No doubt!
I couldn’t help but giggle when I heard the rumor. Creative Memories is not a bad company, its just a little on the boring side when you are an obsessive scrapbooker, such as I. So I have always kind of just ignored the products. Plus I’ve never had very good experiences with the consultants I have worked with in the past, so I just avoid them like the plague. Obviously, now I am a CTMH consultant and so years have gone by since I’ve paid much attention.
Well, this thanksgiving the CM workers put together a video about what they are thankful for. The best part? The dude that shows up about the 9 minutes 42 second marker – has a CLOSE TO MY HEART catalog on his desk (his arm is resting on it) – at CM! haha So even they love our products!
There is some concern that the video will disappear, so I used a program and now have a copy of it, but here it is in all its glory on youtube for as long as it remains. haha! (oh, and unless you are REALLY bored, you can just wait until the whole thing loads and then fast forward… the video is not THAT exciting.)
CTMH package! Fun Stuff and Great Products!
Look what I got today! I wanted one almost from the moment I set eyes on the cute bag. I love the colors and how cute it is. It’s not overwhelming huge, but it’s also not a small bag. I could very easily carry my full size laptop on it, but its not bulky, so its easy to carry. I just love it.
I got a bunch of other fun goodies from the Spring 2010 Close to My Heart catalog too, new stamp sets and some new papers, and now I am feeling majorly creative and can’t wait to play.
Are you ordering anything from the new catalog? If so, what?

Blog Issues
I have been trying to be patient with my blog/domain/hosting issues, but I am getting aggravated. Unfortunately, in the switch to combine hosting, I lost the entire mysql database backups for two of my four blogs. One of my blogs, I haven’t even attempted to move yet, because I am terrified of the same thing happening.
In the interim, I had to create new databases, and then upload VERY old copies of my blog backups. Of course that meant uploading information from another blog to this one, which was not intended, but I decided to just keep it there. I am also having to use google to restore popular posts that did not merge correctly. So irritated.
I also lost all my comments, which makes me super sad, as well as all my blog links. So if you have my blog linked on your blog, until this thing catches up and I can figure out who has me linked, leave me a comment (make me feel loved again LOL) with your blog link and I’ll add you to my links.
So, I’ll probably be lost in blog repair land for the next year. But in the meantime, I have a nice big package from Close to My Heart arriving probably in a week or so, and I cannot WAIT to play with my goodies. I’ll make pretty projects and try to get them posted ASAP.
Thanks for your patience guys!
Undergoing a Slight Change
I went through the trouble of combining two hosting accounts, and in the process, I now have to go through and fix everything. Please be patient. It will be back as soon as possible!
Thanks for your support guys!

Class Assignment #1 – Values and Goals
Tonight is our first “online” class for Holiday in Hand. I’m really looking forward to it, as its been awhile since I have done an online class.
Our first assignment requires two exercises. The first exercise is to write our values and goals. We are supposed to do this to confirm to ourselves what we really want out of the class, and what we really want to accomplish in the next 6 weeks. This goes for outside of the class as well.
So here we go.
My values and goals for the next six week don’t only revolve around Christmas, I have so many things I want to do and get done over the next several weeks.
Goal #1 – To complete my 50K novel and begin editing.
Goal #2 – To get Christmas gifts purchased.
Goal #3 – To decorate for the holidays.
Goal #4 – To spend more time with my kids talking about the true meaning of the season. While I know we have done this in the past, it would help to reconfirm to them what the season is really about.
Goal #5 – Get more organized for the upcoming holidays. Stay that way.
I plan to add to these as I go. Unfortunately, I need to get back to writing right now, so I need to keep this list simple, and short, so I can move onto the next assignment.
Reminiscing
Reminiscing is something I have found myself doing a lot lately. Mostly because we have been cleaning out storage and boxes from years ago. It wound up motivating me to get my extra hard drive cleaned up. So this morning I was milling through some videos I took of my kids.
This one:
And this one:
These songs tend to make me feel almost sad, since I realize how fast my kiddos are growing up. My daughter is the one in this video, and I know exactly where she is in both. She was in 2nd grade when she performed this concert, and she had a speaking roll which I did not upload. I just started thinking about how badly I not only want to preserve this concert for her, but how much I want her to know how excited I was for her back then (which I have done in journaling) and then I almost want her to know how it feels today (three years later) looking at that video and hearing those words. Guess I better get busy.
Oh, and for anyone who cannot understand the lyrics. The first song is called Possibilities and the second song is called Big Dreams. The lyrics are below.
