Not actually on purpose, but it seems I took a mini-vacation. It was the kids Spring Break and my kids are on year round school, so their Spring Break winds up lasting three whole weeks, although they lost the last week because of snow day make up. Talk about some not so happy kids. I will try and do a bit better about updating, especially realizing how many people out there count on my help.
Also, please understand that what works for us, is not necessarily going to be the saving grace for your family. My family is filled with lots of prayer and faith, which seriously helps. We have our problems just as any blended family or step family has, but we work on it together and it usually makes a big difference.
Blended families take LOADS of patience, and that is something I have found myself working on a lot!
I’ll be back regularly now!
Oh, and if you are in the least bit creative, or like crafty projects, feel free to check out my creative blog.
I have decided to reveal the name of the company I had a problem with at Christmas. I am also posting this on all of my blogs for the simple fact that she needs to be stopped. I feel I was lied to, and that is why I am posting it.
First, the company is located at 3drose dot com (sorry I refuse to give her a link.)
To read all about the problems I had, here are the past links:

No matter what cute things you find for sale on the site, I strongly urge you to try and find them elsewhere. A summary of my situation is One entire month, Two packages supposedly sent out, not one single item from my order has arrived.
If you wish to spread the word, link back to this post please.
This completely cracked me up. I found it while surfing blogs today.
Here is my paycheck for the past year. I sure as heck wish I had that check for real!!

I don’t mind being
a housekeeper
a teacher
a cook
a household manager
a janitor
a taxi driver
a nurse
a psychologist
and about a dozen other titles….
but could I at least get paid better for it? The hugs and sugar and love I get is almost compensation enough, but boy a big fat paycheck would be really uber amazing! Find out what you’re worth here.
Do you ever feel like you are living in a blender?
I can remember feeling like that before I became part of a blended family, but is sure has gotten stronger since we did this.
Some days are amazingly awesome, other days are okay, and then still they might be few and far between, but there are even the really crappy days. Thankfully, they really don’t happen too often.
The weird part is, that the crappy days we have, seem to be more like an average parents bad days, rather than being directly related to our blended family. Yay for that!
Anyway, life in a blender is full of surprises. You never know whats going to come pouring on you next. And how you handle it, depends on the speed of the blades.
Well, we wound up doing a whole lot of nothing the night mentioned in this post. And I have been MIA on this blog for a couple of days, and I apologize.
I have a huge post to write about issues surrounding ex’s and pre-teens and more. But I’m not awake enough to concentrate, so I will post it later today.
I’m still reading Summer Breeze, and so far it’s really good. It is certainly not what I first expected. I think you will sincerely enjoy it, and I’m still positive I will read the first one, but my library doesn’t have it. It will probably be much harder to wait for the third installment in the series. Very talented writers.
Oh, and a final word. Blended Families are exhausting. But so well worth it. Just thought I’d make you think.

Proverbs 29:15

It’s been one of those days. I think I will be happier when Spring Break is over!
I pulled this post from my other blog, to share on here. This was my list of things to be thankful for at Thanksgiving.
Because of Thanksgiving and my purpose in teaching five kids how important it is to be thankful for what we have, I have been thinking about it a bit myself.
Here’s what I am thankful for:
