Doesn’t that sound pathetic? I just added Google Friend Connect to my sidebar and have no subscribers yet. I have over 300 with feed burner, so I’m sure eventually I’ll have a few, but right now the little widget looks lonely over there.
I hope you will consider joining my blog and following me. Besides, it’s a great way for me to come find you too.
Thanks!

I have been trying to be patient with my blog/domain/hosting issues, but I am getting aggravated. Unfortunately, in the switch to combine hosting, I lost the entire mysql database backups for two of my four blogs. One of my blogs, I haven’t even attempted to move yet, because I am terrified of the same thing happening.
In the interim, I had to create new databases, and then upload VERY old copies of my blog backups. Of course that meant uploading information from another blog to this one, which was not intended, but I decided to just keep it there. I am also having to use google to restore popular posts that did not merge correctly. So irritated.
I also lost all my comments, which makes me super sad, as well as all my blog links. So if you have my blog linked on your blog, until this thing catches up and I can figure out who has me linked, leave me a comment (make me feel loved again LOL) with your blog link and I’ll add you to my links.
So, I’ll probably be lost in blog repair land for the next year. But in the meantime, I have a nice big package from Close to My Heart arriving probably in a week or so, and I cannot WAIT to play with my goodies. I’ll make pretty projects and try to get them posted ASAP.
Thanks for your patience guys!

I went through the trouble of combining two hosting accounts, and in the process, I now have to go through and fix everything. Please be patient. It will be back as soon as possible!
Thanks for your support guys!

Somewhere along the way, I lost focus of this blog and what I was doing with it, and so I have spent the whole weekend cleaning up my whole website. I’ve located lost posts, found unpublished posts, delete thousands of files and all in all I feel quite a bit better about the direction this site can now take.
I’m going to give the blog a new face lift (cause you know me, I have to change ALL the time) and then we’re going to be back in the swing of things.
Missed you all (but if you’re bored, you can go visit me at my food blog: www.dailydishrecipes.com
I swear that’s the last time I will mention it.

Trying to get Christmas shopping done, I had gone into my Pay Pal account to see how much I had to work with. I was a bit surprised and kinda freaked out to find quite a bit more money in there than I had originally thought. I was confused as to which one of my clients might have sent me extra $$, etc. So I went on a search.
I was pretty excited when after about ten minutes, I realized that The Daily Dish had been chosen as the Editor’s Choice at today (dot) com. (Quick update: I no longer blog for them because they are bad news – so the link now takes you to my OWN recipe site, and I removed the link to the today website. I didn’t want to remove the post.)
There are so many reasons why I was surprised, but the major reason is because while I get paid to blog for today.com, it isn’t an income I necessarily rely on. It’s kind of like my “extra cash” and some months there is plenty of it, and some there is not. I control that, but it has just never been a prime focus. About two months ago, I started spending more time over there, trying to get the blog name out, and for the past three months I have consistently been on the Hot List. This is a list where the blogs are ranked in order from how popular they are. To even make it in the top ten list is a huge feat in and of itself (there are thousands of blogs), but I was often floating between slot 3 and slot 6. Currently I am in slot 10 and this is because of the holiday rush and madness that always seems to consume me with my other clients. I was focused elsewhere for the past couple of weeks.
Winning an extra $250 just before Christmas, was honestly the boost I needed to appreciate my blog over there. A few days ago, I did a 12 hour of posting thing (it ended a bit earlier than I had anticipated due to unforeseen circumstances at home) and the past couple of days I have made it a priority to post a couple of times a day. (we only get paid for one post a day). I hope you will come visit me over there, leave a comment and say hi, find a great recipe to try and request a recipe you might be trying to find.

Before I say much of anything, I want to apologize for not being around much lately. Life gets busy, especially at the end of the school year. I am sorry I haven’t been around, but I have been answering emails and comments, so at least I have that in my corner.
I thought I would sneak away on a mini-vacation from the blog, but I found that I missed it. And I thought about it a lot. And that happens whenever I do get time away from my huge parade of kids. How can mom enjoy a vacation when she is constantly worried about what is going on at home, or what so and so is doing, etc.?
Simple. Make it an overnight vacation. Or a weekend vacation. Or heck, even date night might qualify in some aspect as a mini-vacation as I am no longer cleaning, cooking or doing anything else that seems to take up half my life.
Oh, and while I have been gone, we have set up job charts. It’s a wonderful concept and you really should consider it. The work load for me has been reduced by half and it allowed me to be able to pick up another freelance job which I was really wanting.
I will explain the job charts in a post later this month, to give you ideas to implement in your own home.
Again, I apologize for disappearing but life really does get in the way sometimes. I missed you all in blog land and will be back more regular now with summer fast approaching and my days seemingly longer.
Have a terrific Tuesday!

About a month ago I created a template for my other blogs. I fell in love with the ease of the template that I use on my other blogs (Musings of a Manic Mom) and (Scribbles ‘N Scraps) so I am using it here.
It allows for nice sized photos to be used, more room for actual posts and well – overall its a nice clean look. I created a new banner using the whole template and color scheme. Sorry that all my blogs kind of look alike, but I just love the look and the template design. What do you think?

I finally figured out how all you blog savvy gals were getting the little “link to me” code over to the right to work with a banner and the text so someone can add it easily.
It’s over there, you have to scroll just to the bottom of the About Me section.
———————————————>
I created that banner awhile back, but had no way to allow people to take it. Now I do. hehehe
So, if you want to share the bloggy love or exchange links and you actually display graphics on your page, feel free to take it and display it and I will do exactly the same for you. Just be sure to let me know!
More later, I got a LOT of scrappin’ done over the weekend.
Two Peas Blogger Challenge:
Find a quotation that moves you and write it down. Why does it move you?
That’s easy. There are two.
“A mother holds her children’s hands for just a little while, but their hearts forever.” – Author Unknown
It moves me basically because from the moment I conceived my children I was so intensely in love with them that I absolutely understood that while I couldn’t hold their tiny hands for very long, I would hold onto the love that they bring and their hearts forever.
The other one, a little different.
“If one advances confidently in the direction of one’s dreams, and endeavors to live the life which one has imagined, one will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.” – Henry David Thoreau
I love this because its how I live my life. I try to be confident in my decisions, even when they go against what others perceive as the “right way”. It is with this thought process, I have achieved the dreams that I have achieved thus far.
Have a Happy Day, I’ll be back in a bit!

I got rid of the more cutesy theme and decided to go with a more scrapbook related theme. How does it look?
I am still unsure about having everything at the bottom of the blog, but I do like that it looks cleaner. I wish I could find a template I really liked so I could just add my stuff. Anyway, let me know what you think for REAL. I want honesty.
ETA: One thing I DO like about this template is the wider area for the blog entries which should allow larger sizes of photographs and layouts to be shown. YAY! I’m trying it out now, look for a post later with a big pic.
