CTMH Business Helper Ideas

I have allowed my CTMH business to take a back seat lately, and it was unintentional. With everything that has been going on, I have even let my scrapbooking take a back seat, but I am working on recovering. I am writer so I am familiar with writer’s block, and I guess as a scrapbooker, I can now say that I am familiar with ‘scrapbookers block’. At any rate, I am working to change that.

I am always on the hunt, scouring my fellow CTMH consultant’s blogs, our CTMH message board, Two Peas and Splitcoaststampers, looking for ideas on how to keep myself more organized, especially in my Close to My Heart business – this is important to me.

Here are some really awesome ideas I have seen for keeping your Close to My Heart scrapbooking supplies neat, your CTMH business more organized, and just generally making life in the crafting department a little easier.

CTMH Boom-Di-Ada Song

I wrote this awhile back and am totally not sure why it was in draft format still. Anyway, here it is. This was posted on the CTMH message board too, so you might have caught it if you’re a consultant.

Apparently I had WAY too much time on my hands this morning, but I just could not resist. Oh, and if you need the tune, go here.

Scrapbooking Consultant Clothes and Other Items

I am one of those people that while I am very excited about everything I do, I sometimes have trouble advertising myself when I am out in public. I tend to rely on clothing, tote bags and other items to get the conversation started.

I recently found ScrapWarrior’s Scrapbook Clothing Shop, and then was reminded again about it in an email I received. I love her designs, and already have a wish list for my bday. :)

Oh, and the clothing is NOT just for scrapbook consultant’s. There are dozens of designs for scrapbookers and other arts. I just fell in love with the consultant sections she had.

TLC Consultants Sign Up Now

Wow, I knew I worked with an amazing company, but I did not know just how amazing it is.

First of all, I am so sad about TLC ‘going out of business’ and to all the many consultants who were affected by this, I feel terrible. I cannot imagine what it has to feel like to have this awesome business and then have it just almost belly up in spite of all your efforts individually.

Close to my Heart though, seems to be there for you.

Starting tomorrow, April 15 – April 30, 2008 there is a special promotion for former TLC consultants to sign up with CTMH and get a SERIOUSLY reduced kit (stocked full of some of the most fabulous items!!).

ANY FORMER TLC Consultant who enrolls as a new Close To My Heart Consultant April 15-30 will receive a New Consultant Kit for 50% off! Do you know how much that is? You will receive a normal new consultant kit which is valued at $400 US/$440 CAN and normally is offered at $150 US/ $165 CAN for only $75 US/ $82.50 CAN.
That is simply awesome.

If you are wondering what is included in the new consultant kit: a how-to book, copies of the current issues of both the Idea Book and KeyNotes®, product samples (paper, stamps, inks, etc.), color swatches, and business forms to support Home Gatherings.

The promo code for FORMER TLC consultants only is TLC2008. To learn more about becoming a CTMH consultant you can visit here. OR if you want to sign up for this amazing price of 50% off you can sign up here.

I’d be happy to have you sign up so we can work together!

Let me know if you have any questions!

Paper Sampler vs. Color Wheel

I see it asked a lot what the difference is in these two supply products, so I thought I would post a photograph of the two consultant items so that there would be no confusion. I explained a bit more below.

supply45.gif

The color wheel is a small square sample of all our CTMH cardstock. The pieces are 3″x3″ in size and they have the color name printed on each one. This stays the same all year, all time. It is a sample of all of our colors. Personally I think its a must have tool for all consultants and it comes with your kit.

The paper sampler has 6″ x 6″ square samples of each of the new Background and Textured (B&T)  papers from the current idea book. It changes each time a new idea book is released.  A current sampler is included in your kit.

Close to My Heart vs. Zig Marker Colors – Color Comparison

zig.jpgI have been scrapbooking a LONG time. In that time, I have every single Zig Marker known to man. I am building up my collection of Close to My Heart Exclusive Ink Markers, and have three packs already. That’s all find and dandy but I still need seven more packs to go. So I thought one day about all the Zig Markers I have collecting dust in my scrap area. I decided to sit down and compare the colors and do what others do with different brands and colors from other companies. I would also like to mention that I don’t think I would use the Zig Markers on your stamps. I haven’t tried, and I don’t plan to.
