Many people who scrapbook and stamp love to give hand made items for gifts. One of my favorite, cheap and easy gifts for kids are bags of “poop”. What you choose to put inside is up to you, though each one has a suggestion. I have been collecting these little phrases for over 10 years, so some are similar but have been changed somewhat over the years. All are included.
Here are the bags of “poop” poems for Halloween.
Halloween Poops
Food Suggestions: Mostly you can use what you want from the Halloween candy aisle (candy corns, halloween mnm’s, etc). Just get creative.
Pumpkin Poop Poem
“I started to carve a pumpkin,
with my carving knife and scoop.
But the pumpkin got so scared,
He took a little poop.
It looked so cute and funny,
Just like a candy treat.
So I am sharing it with you now,
Because you are so sweet.”
Pumpkin Kisses
Food Suggestion: Hershey’s Kisses and Hugs work great for this one.
“No scary ghosts,
Nor ugly witches.
Or creepy little bugs,
Just a little surprise of Halloween wishes,
And lots of kisses and hugs.”
Halloween-Pumpkin Poop
(Orange jelly beans or candy corns)
“You’re just plain spooky,
so here’s the scoop
no treats for you,
just some pumpkin poop!”
Bat Poop Poem
“As I was out on Halloween Night
I saw above me bats in flight
At the bats I began to look
And felt a crunch underfoot
I began to search around
And found this bat poop on the ground
I decided to try this unusual treat
And found it tastes chocolaty sweet
So I thought I would share a scoop
Of the infamous BAT POOP!!!”
Bat Poop Poem
“Gazing up I saw the moon, so big and full and new.
When flying by, I saw a sight that reminded me of you!
So thinking fast, I followed, as they began to swoop.
And here it is, my gift to you. This bag of…………
Old Bat Poop!!”
Happy Halloween Every Batty !
Ghost Tracks (or Ghost Poop Poem)
“I woke up so scared, dreaming of Halloween Night
All those spooks and goblins would be such a sight
I thought of all the houses we’d go to for treats,
and hoped not to get sick on all that candy we’d eat!
The big night arrived and our costumes were on,
And we promised we’d not be gone very long.
As we left the house mother said with a roar
” Now make sure you don’t get lost going door to door,
After an hour, we started back home
And finally realized, we weren’t sure where we roamed.
We looked on the ground and found some peculiar tracks
As we felt something soft touching our backs.
My friend turned around and let out a big scream
and I saw a big ghost and this wasn’t a dream!
I guess our screams scared him a bit,
because on the ground, we found some—–
ghost tracks, that is.
In our candy sacks, we collected his tracks & hope you’ll agree
this is the most peculiar ghost poop you’ll ever see!”
Ghost Poop
“I hear that you’ve been playing tricks,
so listen, here’s the scoop….
I’m running short on candy treats,
so this year you get Ghost Poop!!”
Thrown in for good measure:
Have you ever been Boo’ed? We have. Here’s how:
You’ve been Boo’ed
The air is cool, the season fall
Soon Halloween will come to all
The spooks are after things to do
In fact, a spook brought this to you
“BOO” is a shield, from witching hour
Just hang it up and watch its power
On your front door is where it works
It wards off spooks and scary jerks
The treat, that came with crypted note
are yours to keep, enjoy them both
The power comes when friends like you
will copy this, and make it TWO
Then others here among our friends
will give warm fuzzies that will not end
We’ll all have smiles upon our face
No one will know who “BOO”ed whose place
Just one short day to work your spell
or a big ZAP will strike your tail
And don’t forget a nifty treat
like something cute or something sweet
Please join the fun, let’s really hear it
and spread some “BOO”s and Halloween spirit!
Directions:
1) Enjoy your treat
2) Place your BOO on your front door
3) Now you have 24 hours to copy this twice, make 2 treats and two BOO’s and secretly deliver to 2 neighbors who do not have a BOO on their front doors.
4) Then watch how far this spreads by Halloween.
They usually come typed on a piece of paper with a big clip art of a ghost though I am sure you could draw one or get the kids to draw one or use a stamp set! Put the poem onto it, and then do what it says. Create a small basket of goodies with a few treats (try to keep in mind how many family members a family has. Last year we got a tiny bucket with TWO pieces of mini-candy and we have five kids. I would have rather they throw in 5 Hershey’s kisses just so there was no problem.) It’s a lot of fun to drive through your neighborhood and see all the doors that have them!
