About Me

Hi, I'm Nicole. I'm a freelance writer, scrapbooker, paper crafter and mom of five. I am also a Close to My Heart consultant. I spend the majority of my time in my scrapbooking area (I refer to it as my studio) creating scrapbook layouts, cards and other paper projects (well - and eeking out a living on my laptop).

All content (including text, photographs and design work) are © Nicole Humphrey. In addition, many of the stamp images, papers and other materials used are © Close to My Heart.

To contact me, please email: scrapbookingarticles (at) gmail (dot) com. Happy Scrappin'!

Boom-Di-Ada Birthday Cards

Tuesday, April 29th, 2008

I have two birthdays coming up … well one was yesterday but I will see her today. So, here are two cards I made (yes I realize they look very similar) for the birthdays. I wanted to use up some of my scraps from this paper pack and it worked great.

Saturday, April 26th, 2008

Someone else had this on their blog with their name, so I got curious and wanted to see what my own name meant…scary how true the results are. The good, the bad and the creative.

Work Layout

Sunday, April 20th, 2008

Sometimes I think I forget how fortunate I am to be able to work from home. I am a mom first and foremost but after that I am a freelance writer. That’s what pays the bills. I am a scrapbook consultant next, and while teaching classes and workshops certainly brings me in a bit of [...]

STTT Complete

Tuesday, April 15th, 2008

I finally made my STTT. I was so not sure I would make it. The deadline was tomorrow, and if I didn’t make it, it was over and I lost my chance at all this great product.
But nope. I made the first one, so I already have $25 sitting there in product credit just waiting [...]

TLC Consultants Sign Up Now

Monday, April 14th, 2008

Wow, I knew I worked with an amazing company, but I did not know just how amazing it is.
First of all, I am so sad about TLC ‘going out of business’ and to all the many consultants who were affected by this, I feel terrible. I cannot imagine what it has to feel like to [...]

Bra & Panty Card

Monday, April 7th, 2008

UPDATE: My friend saw these (the bra and panty or bikini cards) and decided she wanted me to make her some for a pool party this summer. I’ve already started (using a different template), and they are way easy to make dozens of, once you get the hang of it.
Also thought I’d give you the [...]

The Difference is Clear

How come all the cutest stamps are created anywhere but here. Man those ladies are so talented. And these stamps are so difficult to get.
So cute! See what I mean?

Too Funny - Sticky Boy

Friday, April 4th, 2008

Okay, I thought I had seen it all when it came to CTMH, but I found this link through another consultants blog and this cracks me up. Totally shows why our MyAcrylix stamps are far better, but the video is really funny.
