About Me

Hi, I'm Nicole. I'm a freelance writer, scrapbooker, paper crafter and mom of five. I am also a Close to My Heart consultant. I spend the majority of my time in my scrapbooking area (I refer to it as my studio) creating scrapbook layouts, cards and other paper projects (well - and eeking out a living on my laptop).

All content (including text, photographs and design work) are © Nicole Humphrey. In addition, many of the stamp images, papers and other materials used are © Close to My Heart.

I Am From

Friday, June 6th, 2008

I accidentally stumbled across a post on The Happy Husband, that seriously called my name. The project is based on a beautiful, memory-filled poem called Where I’m From by George Ella Lyons about her childhood. A group of bloggers got together and wrote essay style poems in the same fashion as the poem. Never one [...]

These come courtesty of Amie’s Blog.
60 Things You Possibly Didn’t Know About Me
1. What is in the back seat of your car right now?
huh. I don’t know. I don’t get back there often. Let me check. Let’s see, among a unidentifiable variety of crumbs, I found an empty fast food cup, two happy meal toys, [...]

Thursday, May 29th, 2008

Just another fabulous survey/questionairre I borrowed stole from Amie’s blog.

3. Do you own a gun? no. thank goodness.

Photo Hunters - Glass

Saturday, April 5th, 2008

I have decided to move my Photo Hunters weekly meme over to this blog. It sort of goes better I guess. I might eventually move it back, but for now, it’s hanging out over here.

This was an interesting theme. Glass…..

I chose this pic because we had so much fun last summer playing with this little [...]

I Guess I’m “It”

Ack! Almost two weeks ago, Kari tagged me with a meme thingy. Time got away from me, and I actually forgot to do it (sorry!). So I’m doing it today, because uhm…. I felt like it.
The rules are:
• Link to the person that tagged you and post the rules on your blog.
• Share 7 random [...]

Crafty Challenge

Thursday, February 21st, 2008

1. Stamping Style: This is still developing. I like simple. I am learning a bunch of techniques that I am really enjoying. I think this will grow in time.
2. Inspiration: The UPS guy. J/K. Actually when I get some new papers and stamps or anything else to scrap with, is when I tend to be [...]

The Tree Meme

Wednesday, February 20th, 2008

I have had this sent to me before. In fact, I think the first time I saw it was about four or five years ago. Maybe not that long but I think it was. Anyway, I thought I would add it here. Which tree are you?
I’m a Pine Tree. It’s almost accurate. The low self [...]

Twenty Questions

Sunday, February 17th, 2008

I got this from Dawn’s blog a few days ago, and finally got around to doing it.
1. If you had to change the name of your blog from what it is now to something completely new, what would you change it to? Why?
I wouldn’t change the name of my blog. I have called it both [...]

My Creativity Level

Wednesday, February 13th, 2008

I thought it was funny that I was so high, because the only question I couldn’t really agree at all with is that I like to break the rules, because I don’t in everyday life. But I do in my art. I bet if I had chosen that I strongly agreed this would read 100%. [...]
